Hahaha. Thank you my dear! These drawings are mere trifles though. If scanning wasn't so slow I'd upload all of them. I've got pipe-lighting/smoking/cleaning, shooting up, newspaper reading, in the chem lab and much more. Scanning is SO slow though, and all my drawings are in red col-erase pencil. Oh well though. THANKS again!

Amazing! I am usually quite picky when it come to Holmes, and I couldn't help but notice that your Holmes has light hair, where as Doyle's Holmes has black hair. However I think it suits him very well!! This is a truely inspiring artpiece!!! Good show!!

Hmmm... I had just finished reading A Study in Scarlet when I drew this and I didn't remember reading anything about black hair. Every interpretation I had seen up until this point had light colored hair.
But if you say so, I'll take your word for it! Thanks SO much

I wasn't trying to offend you or anything!! (sorry if i did) If you look at the pictures by Sidney Paget he always seems to have dark hair, and that's how doyle thought of it.
funny thing is too is that the name "Sherlock" is old English for "light haired"
I really liked your interpretation of Sherlock Holmes!! no matter what colour!

I think I actually may have given him light hair because of the name meaning (I remember I looked it up at some point). I wasn't offended though, no. I was even more complimented that you prefer the black hair and yet you still liked my depiction.
Thanks!

Interesting, a twist on Holme's hair, a more angluar drawn out form, but I would like a longer coat. That's the only matter I have issue with. Everything else I consider very expressive and ingenious.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
